My husband, the intelect...

For those of you wondering what it's like living with someone who has a completely scientific mind...

Right now Evan is watching The Jeff Corwin Experience, an Animal Planet favorite of his. Jeff just captured some snake and since I have not been closely following (interpret...not watching at all) I asked if it was a venomous snake. To which Evan simply replied, "Well, many of those new-world colubrids are opisthogliphous." Aaaaaand...left it at that. Oh, of course! How could I forget? Thanks for clearing that up for me, Babe!

P.S. For you simpletons (ie-ME!) who don't know what opisthogliphous means, its fangs are in the very back of its mouth and facing backwards, meaning they can't inject you full of venom in one strike like a rattler or a cobra. You would
essentially have to stick your hand down its mouth and let it chew on you for a very long time in order to do any damage. Oh yeah, and colubrid is the genus or species, or something. Or maybe both. I don't want to look it up.

P.P.S. I would normally post some kind of relating picture since one sister has told me that blogs without pictures are not interesting (and she's right), but another sister of mine would never visit my blog again if I posted a picture of a snake. Love you both! And I love you too, Evan!!! Oh, how I love you and your scientific mind!
